VANNA KANAA
Vanna kanaa is a Professional service event . The motive of the event was to teach small children handicraft . This event was conducted over the weekends for 3 weeks . They were taught to make small things from paper like plane , bird , fan etc. The children came up with their own ideas on what they wanted to learn . Some picked up things faster and began making things that were nott at all . In between teaching craft items conversation was held with the participants on their school lives and their dreams and hopes for the future.
ATCHAM THAVIR
Acham thavir is an International service event conducted along with Rotaract Club of Venkateshwara College of Engineering RID 3232 . A rally on account of World Cancer Day was held. Rally was conducted along the coastline of Besant Nagar and about 500 pamphlets were distributed along the way to the public. A general quiz on Cancer awareness was conducted for the public and the people who gave the right answers were given badges. Knowledge on anti- carcinogenic food , immune boosting exercise and yoga was imparted to the people on the beach.
GENESIS
The event Genesis is an event held in the avenue of Club service . It was held in K'Sirs international school for the Charter installation of interact club. The ceremony was held in presence of Rtn. Rajasekar Srinivasan, District Governor , Rtn. Rajesh Cinnasamy , Youth Service Director and Rtn. Vijay Krishnan , Secretary of Rotary Club of Coimbatore East.
KALAI KARAM
Kalai karam is a Community service project . This event was held in two phases . In phase I Tender Coconut shells were painted and decorated . This were repurposed as pots by filling them with mud and planting a sampling in it. This pots were then sold to the public at a fundraiser . And in Phase II , the money that was raised by selling these pots were used to buy a mobile phone . It was given to a girl child so that she could attend her online school classes during the lockdown and not stop going to school. This event managed to successfully make wonder from waste as well as was able to raise enough money to help a child.
JINGALALA
Jingalala is an International service project . We partnered with Rotaract Club of Coimbatore East , Rotary Club of Nasik Grapecity and Rotary Club of Cochin East . Events such as Elocution, Best out of Waste and Open Talents were conducted . Videos of their performance was recorded and analysed . Winners were declared and cash prizes were distributed to the winners. Great talents were witnessed due to this event . this was a platform for then to showcase their talents .
MEDWIN
"Medwin" was an educational initiative aimed at promoting awareness and imparting knowledge of first aid and safety protocols to students. This event was organized in collaboration with the First Heart Foundation, and it featured Dr. Saravanakumar, along with his fellow trainers, who shared valuable insights into first aid practices through practical demonstrations.
During the event, there was active engagement between the trainers and the club members. The participants received hands-on instruction on various first aid techniques, including responses to situations such as heart attacks, choking, accidents, emergency lifting, snake bites, and more. The trainers took the time to interact with the audience, ensuring that every question and doubt was addressed comprehensively.
These are essential knowledge that may one day help students to save life by performing the necessary first aid before the arrival of first responders.
BLISS
Bliss is a Community service event conducted in an old age home . The Rotaracters actively went and interacted with the residents . They were very eager to talk and a lot of interaction about their past and their family was done . Following this fun games such as Dumb C and guess the movie were played . The residents actively took part in all of the games . Time was spent interacting with them about movies and song. They imparted knowledge based on their lives and many things were learnt.
PONGAL THIRUVIZHA
The event Pongal Thiruvizha is a club service event held on Pongal . The motive of the event was to build bonds between club members by celebrating Pongal in Thudiyalur . This event was filled with a lot of fun events and games . Majorily the talks and discussions were surrounding Pongal celebrations in the past adding a nostalgic feel to the event . Mnay games that we might have played in childhood were played , such as lemon and spoon , uriyadi . Hand crafts were made to decorate houses during Pongal.
